Alleged shooter in court today

The 42-year-old suspect appeared in court today. His case was postponed to later this week.

The man accused of murder after the fatal shooting of Ricardo Spies over the weekend is still in custody.

The man who was arrested shortly after the shooting incident over the weekend will remain in custody until his next appearance on June 26.

The shooting sent shockwaves through the community as the real-life drama played out over the Zello channel, where different spheres of the community got together to get Spies to the hospital by blocking off all the roads to the emergency room.

The extent of his injuries was so severe that, despite all efforts, doctors could not save his life.
